Want to make it easier for people to follow you on Pinterest straight from your website? Adding a Pinterest profile widget is a quick and simple way to showcase your pins and grow your following - without them ever leaving your site.
Here’s how to set it up in just a few minutes!
A Pinterest widget isn’t just a nice extra - it’s a smart way to boost engagement. Visitors can follow you with one click, meaning they’ll see more of your content in their feeds. Plus, it visually reinforces your brand and makes your website feel more interactive.
This is where you’ll find the different widget options. For this tutorial, we’re focusing on the profile widget.
Pinterest provides a small piece of code that you need to add to your website. You’ll need to paste this into either the <head> or <body> section of your site.
I’m using Systeme.io for this example. If you’re using a different platform, don’t worry; the process is similar. Navigate to the settings where you can edit the header code of your website.
Once you’re in the settings, locate the section for editing the header code. Paste the code you copied from Pinterest here. Save your changes.
Now return to the Pinterest Developer Platform and click on the profile widget section. You’ll need to copy another piece of code that will display your profile and pins on your homepage.
In the code you just copied, make sure to replace the placeholder with your actual Pinterest username. This is usually found in light grey under your profile bio (in this example, it is cozy_color).
Head back to your website editor. Here, you’ll want to add an HTML block where you want the widget to appear. Paste the modified widget code into this block.
To make sure your widget is visible and attractive, you might want to adjust the width and height. For example, changing the width and height can make a big difference in how it looks on your site.
After making your adjustments, save your changes and preview your website. You should see your Pinterest widget displayed nicely, complete with a follow button!
Want to encourage more follows? Add a little text above the widget, like Follow Me on Pinterest for More Ideas & Inspiration!
With just a few quick steps, you now have a Pinterest profile widget live on your site, helping you attract more followers and showcase your pins effortlessly.
